Imphal, July 25 2019:
Transport and Drivers Council (TDC) has demanded, Laishram Ratan Khuman as well as his accomplices, who were involved in a scandal by misusing TDC's name and registering at the Register Cooperate, to appear at TDC's office at MG Avenue within 5 days.
Speaking to media persons, TDC president H Ranjit said that Highway Truck Owners Welfare Organisation president Laishram Chandrakumar and secretary Laishram Ratan Khuman (both from Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi Thokchom Leikai) were arrested by Imphal PS recently for forging the seals and letter heads of TDC.
While they were detained, TDC conducted an investigation and found that a team of 20 individuals led by Laishram Ratan Khuman had applied for registering at the Register of Cooperation.
Ranjit continued that in the earlier registration done by the miscreants with the Trade Union, the firm or institution was mentioned as TDC Keishampat Leimajam Leikai while in the application to the Register of Cooperation, it was mentioned as TDC Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi Thokchom Leikai.
Demanding Ratan Khuman and his team to appear before TDC within 5 days and apologise, H Ranjit warned that failure to do so will result in TDC filing a case at Lamphel PS and taking up all possible legal actions.
Condemning the unethical actions of Ratan Khuman, the TDC president continued that his act is an insult to the members of TDC as well as all the associations and organisations under TDC.
