Jiribam MSF wants adequate teachers at schools

Jiribam, July 25 2019:
Manipur Students Federation (MSF) District Committee Jiribam on Thursday appealed the Government and Education Department to send adequate teachers at schools in the Jiribam at the earliest.
Urging the Education Department to bring back the teachers transferred from the district, Sabir Ahamad, working president, MSF District Committee Jiribam at Jiri News Network Conference hall said that schools in Jiribam are facing hardship and problems due to shortage of teachers.
MSF has been advocating quality education under its slogan "Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi" .

The volunteers of the MSF had been conducting drives at schools and some of the schools such as Choudrikhal, Rashidpur Upper Primary School and others are facing acute shortage of teachers, he said.
Regular classes and all other activities are being affected at these schools, he said.
Even as East Sonapur Primary School has been facing teacher shortage, one teacher by the name Mohammad Komoruddin Laskar was transferred from the school on February 23, 2019.More burden has been added to the woes of the school and MSF strongly condemns the transfer of the teacher, he said.
The teacher should be brought back and all vacant posts at schools in Jiribam should be filled with transfer of new teachers, he said expressing his concern for students of the district.
On school infrastructure, the MSF Jiribam District Committee working president pointed out that the Jiribam Higher Secondary School (JHSS) Auditorium Hall and school wall have not been reconstructed yet.
The school auditorium and wall were damaged by storm and earthquake, he said.
He also urged the teachers of the schools and college in Jiribam to conduct regular classes and all activities in the interest of the students and ensure smooth functioning of the institutions.
A Ratan Singh, general secretary, MSF Jiribam and H Malemnganba Meetei, member MSF Jiribam also attended the press meet.
