Imphal, February 14 2022:
Manipur, which was pushed to the ruins under Congress' divide and rule policy, has been put together and the unity of the hills and valley restored under Chief Minister N Biren Singh, stated Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju.
On Monday, the flag hoisting ceremony of CM N Biren Singh was held at his Luwangshangbam residence.
The ceremony was attended by MoS external affairs RK Ranjan, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, BJP National spokesperson Sambit Patra, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda.
Speaking at the event, Kiren Rijiju noted that huge changes were ushered into the state after the advent of the CM Biren-led state government.
The state has been maintaining peace and harmony with almost zero bandh/blockade and easy access including transportation to Tamenglong, Chandel, Ukhrul and Moreh.
He continued: "The divide and rule policy of the previous government, which almost destroyed Manipur, has been put to an end.
Both the hill and the valley have become united under the Biren-led government, not to mention of the speedy development of the state, despite lack of resources.
As such, BJP will form the new government in the state and bring about more development in the state".
In his speech, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that BJP will become the single largest party in the ensuing polls and form the government in Manipur, while adding that CM Biren will win the seat of Heingang AC with a record number of votes.
Apart from seeing to the implementation of ILPS in the state, Biren has enable Manipur to be connected with the entire country via railways and further improved the condition of the national highways linking the state.
Being a naturally good leader, Biren will continue to lead the state in the future, Himanta said.
Addressing the gathering, CM Biren recounted that he resigned from the seat of MLA to save the state and later, went on to join BJP as per the advice of the people.
He has fulfilled the promises he made to the people including saving the state from the atrocities of security forces and the evils of the society.
He then said that around 40 BJP candidates will emerge victorious in the upcoming polls, thereby allowing the party to form the government again.
