USYC felicitates, imparts career counselling to successful candidates

For the first time in the history of United Sapormeina village, HSLC and HSE successful candidates were felicitated today at CC Hall, Gamnom Sapormeina in the presence of Ngamthang Haokip, Minister of IFC, Printing & Stationery, Govt.of Manipur and Lunthang Haokip, Executive Member, Vety.
& Medical, ADC Sadar Hills as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
During the felicitation cum career counselling function organized by United Sapormeina Youth Club, IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip presented the citations to the HSLC 2014 successful candidates while Lunthang Haokip, EM ADC Sadar Hills handed over the citations to all HSE 2014 successful candidates.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Namthang Haokip asserted that reading and studying books have different meanings, and added that reading book produced quantity education and studying book gives quality education.

Lunthang Haokip, EM ADC Sadar Hills while emphasizing the importance of quality education said that the education standard in Sadar Hills is still at the bottom which is the sole responsibility for unsatisfactory results in any academic and competitive examinations.
He also emphasized the important role and responsibility of parents towards the academic and competitive career of their wards.
President United Sapormeina Youth Club Th.Helen Kipgen in his presidential speech pointed out that student needs encouragement as well as felicitation and acknowledgement in their success which will in turn gives them confidence in their future endeavour.
Earlier during the first session of career counselling , James Doujapao Haokip, MPS said, 'to compete in any civil service examination or to get service, one needs to possess degree but degree is not the reason behind getting a service rather it is the knowledge and wisdom a person obtained through perseverance, determination and hard working.
Haokip, the MPS officer, who is due to join his duty shortly, continued that students who passed examinations by unfair means with high percentage of marks and higher rank face lots of problems in the competitive examinations and it accounts for their failure to succeed in their life.
Therefore, it will be wise on the part of the students to struggle hard and passed any academic examinations fairly, sincerely and faithfully.
Altogether 51 successful students from Sapormeina village including 22 first divisioners and 10 second divisioners of HSLC as well as 16 first divisioners and 2 second divisioners of HSE 2014 were felicitated and imparted career counselling by James Doujapao Haokip, MPS in the first session.
It may be mentioned that Obed Letlensang Haokip s/o Onthang Haokip of Sapormeina village held 12th rank in the recently declared HSLC Examination 2014 by securing 91.4% marks and letter marks in all the subjects.
He cleared the examination from St.
Mary School, Churachandpur.
