High Court of Manipur observes World Environment Day

As a part of the worldwide observation of World Environment Day, High Court of Manipur also observed the day with the planting of a tree inside the campus by the Judiciary Officer, Bar Council members and staff of High Court of Manipur yesterday.
The tree plantation event was headed by Ramalingam Sudhakar, Chief Justice High Court of Manipur followed by Justice Kh Nobin, Justice N Kotiswar, Advocate General N Kumarjit, Registrar A Guneshor Sharma and others.
Speaking to media persons, Sudhakar said that Manipur is a State with abundant natural beauty as most parts of the State are hilly areas.
He stated that every tree planted by humans will benefit the environment and will reduce carbon emission as well.
He also said that as citizens of India it is the duty of the people to not only protect the environment but to improve the condition of the environment by planting trees.
The members and staff of the High Court of Manipur, Judges, Advocate General, Registrar General, Members of High Court Bar Association, and Senior Advocates have come together for the observation of World Environment Day celebration, he added and expressed hope to continue such efforts in the days to come.
