JAC warns of stir if teacher not apprehended within 2 days

Md Sarif Khan, co-convenor of JAC has appealed to the authority concerned to trace and apprehend the missing teacher who allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old girl student.
Addressing a press conference today at Hayelbuk ground in Thoubal district, Md Sarif Khan cautioned that if the authority concerned failed to book the teacher within 2 days, the JAC along with organisations, student bodies, CSOs, clubs of the area would launch a series of intensified agitation from the following day.
He stated that the girl had gone missing after she was allegedly called out by her tutor, Thokchom Kennedy of Khangabok Lamdaibung on December 15 .
He expressed his anguish over the failure of the police to trace the two even after two weeks since the girl's parents filed a report at Women Police Station Thoubal on December 16 .
He appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and expedite the investigation to ensure the accused is arrested and the girl is safely rescued at the earliest.
Md Sarif Khan further urged all the organisations, CSOs, clubs, student bodies and Meira Paibis to come forward and support the JAC in its endeavour to save the girl.
Meanwhile, Delhi Association of Manipur Muslim Students, New Delhi and Global Innovation Society (GIS) have also strongly condemned the kidnapping of the minor girl and urged the authorities concerned to book the culprit at the earliest.
