IIIT Manipur organises workshop on "Entrepreneurship and Start-Ups"

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur conducted a one day workshop on "Entrepreneurship and Start-Up" at its city campus at Mantripukhri today.
The workshop was attended by Padma Bhushan Dr T Ramasami, former Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India as the chief guest, said a press release by IIIT Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr T Ramasami stressed on creating new markets by introducing products, services, and ideas to create new opportunities.
Professor Krishnan Baskar, Director, IIIT Manipur during his presidential address spoke on the need to bring social change through entrepreneurship and start ups.
N Guite, General Manager and OIC, NABARD, Imphal highlighted the subject of financial support and opportunities for Start-ups.
Th Jagat Singh, Consultant, Manipur Start-Up cell, provided insights to the participants on the Start-Up Ecosystem of India.
N Uttam Kumar Singh, Founder of Elveego Circuits Private Limited, Bengaluru expressed his confidence in the initiatives taken by Government of India in the semiconductor industry.
He said the future of this industry is exciting and promising and emphasized that it would create ample job opportunities in the next ten years for job seekers across the country.
Later , Dr Joykumar Singh, Central Agriculture University, Imphal also presented his views on the potential of business opportunities in "Agriculture the Virgin Land for Start-ups", added the release.
