Chandel lays down demands before Union MoS

Union Minister of State for Steel & Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste today visited aspirational district Chandel and interacted with officials of various departments, Self Help Groups and local and tribal delegates at the mini-conference hall of DC complex, today.
The interaction programme was organized by the District Administration, Chandel.
During the interaction programme, the Minister took part in a series of discussions that witnessed participants from various communities of the district who shared their stories in their respective fields and projected their demands.
The delegates expressed gratitude to the Minister for initiating the outreach programme for the welfare of the people.
The Minister also interacted with key officials and inquired about the initiatives and projects taken up under the Central and State sponsored schemes.
At the occasion, the Minister said that several measures and initiatives have been taken up to make Chandel a prosperous and developed place for the welfare of the people.
Faggan Singh also assured that he will look into the demands raised by the delegates.
Faggan also inspected Maha Area Producers Co-operative Society Limited (MAPS) at Liwa Khullen village, which is supported and promoted by CDCRMS in collaboration with NERCORMP, Chandel.
There, he handed over short term training certificates to selected students during the programme.
Today's programme was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar and different DLOs among others.
