Snake bite victims saved

Imphal, September 20 2015:
The Medical team of 2 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 9 Sector Assam Rifles and Hqs IGAR (S) saved the life of two snake bite victims on September 18 .
The victims namely Rashi Muddin (47) of Yairipok and Jilla (72) of Leishangthem in Thoubal district were bitten by snakes while farming and they were immediately rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
The victims were attended by the medical team and necessary first aid was administered.
Later the victims were discharged duly examined in stable condition, added the press release.
In another incident, The medical team of 12 Bihar of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) saved life of a snake bite victim on September 17 .
The victim namely L Bibita Devi (38) of Nachou in Bishenpur district was bitten by a venomous snake and was rushed to the unit hospital of 12 Bihar in critical condition.
The victim was attended by the medical officer and was administrated multiple vials of anti-snake venom, which saved her life.
The victim is the sister of Laishram Monika Devi, who is an eminent weightlifter of the State.
Laishram Monika Devi and her family members were extremely grateful to the Commanding Officer and the medical team of the 12 Bihar for the medical aid and support extended, which saved the life of her sister.
