AR helps accident victims

Imphal, September 20 2015:
Personnel of 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) extended assistance to five individuals including two children who were injured when a civil truck fiercely collided with an oil tanker on NH-2 near Koirengei.
The troops were out for security duties on NH-2 when the accident took place at around 6 am on September 19 .
The troops of 45 Assam Rifles rushed to the spot and provided immediate first aid and evacuated the injured passengers to CMC Hospital, Koirengei.
This particular stretch of NH-2 is prone to accidents, said an AR press release.
