Monetary aid provided
WhatsApp group Unity Platform of Manipur extended monetary assistance to Haobijam Reeson of Khurai Konsam Leikai, who is undergoing treatment at Ganga hospital Coimbatore, after he was seriously injured during a pro-ILPS agitation near the gate of 2nd IRB.
NYKS appoints
S Gourakishwor Singh, Youth Coordinator, NYKS, Kangpokpi has been appointed to escort State team of NYCs for Punarjagran Yatra at Mathura, according to an order.
Mulberry plantation
Mulberry saplings plantion drive began today at the farm of Directorate of Sericulture located at Sangaipat.
The plantation drive was taken up under the auspices of Directorate of Sericulture, Govt of Manipur.
W Ibohal, Director of Sericulture joined the plantation drive.
Dental camp held
The 13 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 10 sector AR, Ukhrul in collaboration with Leishingphung Christian Hospital conducted a free dental camp at Ngainga village, Ukhrul, on Sunday.
Over 185 patients were treated in today's camp.
Medicines were also distributed free of cost to the people during the camp.
Apart from dental problems gynae related problems were also treated during the camp, this correspondent reports.
Painting competition
District administration, Imphal East will organise district level painting competition in collaboration with PHE Div Imphal East on Oct 4 at Panchayat Bhawan, DC office complex, Porompat for two categories - Class V-VII and Class VIII-X as part of National Sanitation campaign.
Health consultation camp
The Lions Club of Imphal Mayai Lambi in association with YOC club, Laphupat Tera Khunou conducted a one day free health consultation camp at Laphupat Tera Khunou, Imphal West district today.
Over 392 people were examined during the camp, a statement issued by Lions Club secretary Kh Sanajaoba Singh informed.
Rs 29.4 lakh worth gold seized
Custom Preventive Force, Moreh, led by Inspector Sanglakpam Rameshwori Devi, on Saturday, seized gold biscuits (7 pieces) valued at Rs 29.4 lakh from a Maruti van proceeding from Moreh at Kondong Lairenbi Khubam area, our correspondent reports.
The gold was in possession of one Phul Kumar Sahni, 37, s/o Yogal Sahni of Moreh ward no 6 .
The apprehendee along with the seized gold have been handed over to Moreh Customs office.
Cleanliness drive held
The All Jiribam United Clubs Association (AJUCA), as part of its annual social awareness programmes on the importance of cleanliness carried out a cleanliness drive at different localities of Jiribam today, our correspondent reports.
Altogether, 50 clubs took part in the social service organised by AJUCA.
