According to officials in the State Bhawan, Chief Minister was here in Delhi attending the Kisan Mazdoor Samman Rally called by Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi.
Moreover, Chief Minister was reportedly here in the capital to meet the Congress chief as well, though there is no official confirmation of any meeting with the Congress chief nor any other Central Ministers.
ADC Churachandpur Chairman Langkhanpau Guite, who spoke to the demonstrators, said that the State Chief Minister in his response to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the Churachadpur incident and there-after had stated that "it was an internal mater" and that " the State Government can control the situation" .
The Churachandpur ADC members were in New Delhi meeting the Union Home Minister and several central leaders over the present situation in Churachandpur and subsequent events that unfold in the district and other areas, in the aftermath of August 31 uprising over the passing of the three Bills in the Assembly.
Guite told The Sangai Express that the Churachandpur ADC members, who had come over to the capital a week back, also recently met RN Ravi, the chief of Joint Intelligence Committee and interlocutor for Naga Peace Talks.
Reportedly, RN Ravi who visited the State on September 10 and was scheduled to visit Churachandpur, was told by the state Chief Minister (State Government) not to continue his journey beyond Imphal.
With the State Government still a mute spectator, Guite said that the ADC members are sending appeals and requesting the Central Ministries, particularly the Union Home Ministry to look into the matter and intervene at the earliest.
Guite said in affirmative that he is hopeful of some positive outcome.
