Issue over Mizoram interference in Manipur's matter reached AICC: Dy CM Gaikhangam

The issue surrounding the interference by Mizoram in Manipur's matter has been taken up with the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said on Sunday.
Speaking to media persons here, Gaikhangam criticized Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla for making statements on purpose against the three the Bills passed by the Manipur Assembly recently.
The matter has been raised with AICC, he said.
Gaikhangam is also the President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) .
He expressed strong opposition against the remarks made by Lal Thanhawla and said that the Congress Chief Minister should avoid making such statements against other States in future.
Gaikhangam also cited the case of Nagaland State wherein one of its representatives openly interfered in the internal affairs of Manipur recently.
Gaikhangam said Nagaland also has a lot of problems for which the Government of that State should first try to solve them.
Regarding the unrest in Churachandpur, Gaikhangam said efforts are on to end the deadlock stating that without talks bringing a settlement in the present situation will be very difficult for the State Government.
He expressed hope that a positive way will be found soon for starting talks with the aggrieved groups.
He made a fervent appeal to all communities in the State to work together so that peace and harmony prevail in Manipur.
