Many condemn Thingsat killings

Strongly condemning the killing of two persons and assault of one minor at Thingsat village, the United People's Front (UPF) Manipur has termed the act as 'beastly' .
In a statement, publicity secretary of UPF, L Satyam said that it was not at all palatable to subscribe the statement of the SoO signatory KRF who said that the two persons died in the course of interrogation.
It questioned the motive behind the silence maintained by the Govt when a SoO signatory group came out with such statement.
Demanding the Govt to clear all doubts in this regard, the UPF also demanded that the culprits be punished.
It was also very unfortunate that some miscreants had stirred up such incident when people of the State are living in peaceful coexistence.
It further appealed to all concerned not to spread rumours while also sharing the grief of the bereaved families.
The UPF also pledged to extend support to the move of the JAC formed in this connection in finding justice.
Zeliangrong Union (AMN) has also vehemently condemned the inhuman killing of two persons and the assault of a minor boy by cadres of KRF.
In a statement, K Poushinglung, executive secretary, ZU (AMN) pointed out that ugly episodes happen during bandh or any incident victimising innocents due to the negligence of the State Govt.The ZU (AMN) has demanded the State Govt to arrest the culprits involved in the heinous crime.
All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association has also condemned the incident.
