Letzamang Haokip inspects Henglep-Thingkew-Tipaimukh Road

A team led by Henglep (ST) AC MLA, Letzamang Haokip inspected the ongoing construction of Henglep-Thingkew-Tipaimukh Road on Monday.
Representatives of Henglep Area Chiefs' Association, KSO Henglep Block, Zillai Churachandpur District and Zillai Chongkhozou Block accompanied the MLA during the inspection.
Speaking to media persons, Letzamang Haokip stated that quality control and completion of the project within the stipulated time have always been his top priority.
He continued that inspection will be done periodically and warned of stern action if work quality is compromised.
"The project is the result of the enforcement of the present Government's commitment to serve the people of Henglep constituency.
Upon completion, the long cherished dream of Henglep denizens to have an all-weathered road will be a reality", he added.
Asserting that the project is a major step to improve connectivity between Henglep Sub-Division and Churachandpur District Headquarters, the MLA expressed hope that the project will ensure accelerated growth and bring the once-neglected Henglep AC to the path of development.
Letzamang Haokip further appealed to the public to extend maximum cooperation to the development initiatives of the Government.
It may be mentioned that the foundation stone of the project, "Improvement/Upgradation of Henglep-Thingkew-Tipaimukh Road (Length- 31.782 km) under NEC Division No-11 in the State of Manipur" was laid by the Chief Minister, N Biren Singh on September 28, 2022 .
The construction work was carried out by BIPL, Imphal Branch.
Earth cutting of 7 Km from zero point S Kholian to Mualdak village has been completed till date.
The project was implemented under NERSDS, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) .
