Recipients of State Kala Akademi Award announced

Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) on Monday announced the name of 28 recipients of its awards in six categories for the year 2021 .
In a notification, MSKA secretary L Kisworjit Singh informed that the 28 recipients were selected as per the resolution of a general council meeting of the Akademi held on January 30 at Raj Bhavan under the chairmanship of Governor La Ganesan.
According to the notification, Kshetrimayum Randhoni Devi has been selected for the MSKA Lifetime Achievement Award and Chabungbam Kondum Singh and Sougaijam Thanil for MSKA Fellow while professor Konjengbam Sunita Devi, Ayekpam Nandita Devi, Arambam Apabi Devi, Thokchom Sudhir Singh, Yumnam Surendra Singh, Ningombam Jawaharlal Singh, Soraisam Keshoram, Laishram Iboyaima Khuman, Gotimayum Latasana Devi, Puthem Ningol Louriyam Ongbi Thaba, Athokpam Birbabu Singh, Oinam Iboyaima Singh, Amuba Kamei and As Rawung have been selected for the MSKA Award for Performing Art.
For MSKA Award for Literature, Chandam Khomei has been selected for his novel titled "Sajigee Leibakta", Dr Thokchom Ibohanbi Singh for his critical essay "Manipurida Punshiwarigee Sahitya" and Soibam Indrakumar for his work of translation titled "Madhubala (Yurangbee)" .
Among the MSKA awardees for fine Arts, Maibam Maningou Singh has been enlisted for his painting entitled 'Untitled' and Naorem Gautam Singh for his sculpture 'Life and Malicious Surrounding' while MSKA Young Talent Award winners include Thonggin Haokip (Tribal Culture), Dr Urmika Maibam (Dance), Mangka Mayanglambam (Music), Kangujam Sangita Devi (Shumang Leela), Mutum herojit Singh (Thang-TA) and Loitongbam Phullochand (Other Forms of Art/Arangpham) .
