KVK Hengbung pledges for 'New India 2022'

Kangpokpi, August 22 2017:
Hundreds of farmers across Kangpokpi district today pledged for a 'New India' by 2022 following the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to observe 'Sankalp se Siddhi' from 2017 to 2022 .
The farmers from different background and places across the district also pledged to double agriculture income by 2022 during the observance of 'Sankalp Se Siddhi' � Determination to Attainment- New India Movement, 2017-2022 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Hengbung, Kangpokpi district .
KVK Hengbung organized the observance of 'Sankalp Se Siddhi' following the call by the Prime Minister .
Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, Autonomous District Council Sadar Hills, T Ranjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi district and Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Ex-Registrar, Manipur University, Manipur graced the occasion as chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively .

Ex-Minister, Haokholet Kipgen, president FEEDS, the host institute of KVK Hengbung, line department officials, various civil society organization leaders, NYK officials, etc.
also took part in the event while ADC Sadar Hills Chairman inaugurated Agricultural Technologies with the objective of doubling income of the farmers by 2022 .
The dignitaries were warmly welcomed and presented with a traditional muffler with a bouquet of flowers as a mark of respect and love .
Underlining the essence of the Prime Minister's vision for a New India Movement, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing urged the people to regain the determination, the people of India had in 1942 for freedom and join hands together in preparing the groundwork for the New India by 2022 .
"The 1942 Quit India Movement prepared the ground work for our Independence, similarly, we should lay the ground work for our New India with the launch of Sankalp Se Siddhi 2017", asserted Haokholal Hangshing while adding "we should have the mood and determination of 'now or never' to attain our New India." The ADC Chairman led the people in pledging for a New India and doubling farmers income while dignitaries, farmers and other attendees rose from their respective seats and raised their right hand while following the pledge read out by the Chairman .
They pledged towards Clean India, a Poverty Free India, a Corruption Free India, a Terrorism Free India, a Communalism Free India and a Casteism Free India while also pledging to adopt insurance for crop to secure income, to adopt organic farming and Soil Health Card for the health of the soil, to adopt high-yielding seeds, to adopt integrated agriculture system, to do value addition of agriculture produce and facilitate secure and proper storage of food grain .
"Determination is the key factor for a New India", said T Ranjit Singh.
