Meeting on distribution of insufficient refill cylinders held

Kakching, August 22 2017:
A joint meeting of Consumer Welfare Union members, Deputy Commissioner of Kakching district and staff of Leibaklei Gas Agency was conducted at DC’s office today regarding the insufficient distribution of refill cylinders to the consumers of the area .
A press release issued by secretary of Consumer Welfare Union, Kakching stated that each consumers are entitled to 12 refill cylinders every year as per the guidelines of IOC, however, only 2-3 refill cylinder have been provided to the consumers .
The Union, on behalf of all the consumers, has held several meetings and signed many agreements with the Agency but no improvement has seen till date, it added .
Following the demand of the Union, the Deputy Commissioner has directed the Gas Agency to submit a written representation including total number of consumers under the Agency, total number of refill cylinders arrived, grievances of the Agency along with other related documents .
Secretary of the Union Ksh Suresh Singh appealed all the consumers to notify the Union whenever they are dissatisfied with the Agency regarding the IOC guidelines .
He sought support and cooperation from all the consumers in order to help in proper functioning of the system.
President of the Union Y Satya Singh, secretary Ksh Suresh Singh, advisor N Nilamani Singh were present at the meeting.
