DM imposes restrictions around JNV Bishnupur

The District Magistrate of Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram, IAS, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 144 of CrPC 1973 has imposed restrictions in and around 100 meter of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bishnupur with immediate effect till completion of CBSE examination 2022 .
In a release, the District Magistrate informed that the prohibition was issued to prevent breach of peace and tranquillity in and around the examination centre.
"During the CBSE examination which will conclude on June 16, 2022, there is likelihood of anti-social elements creating law and order problems thereby disturbing smooth conduct of free and fair examination in the district", it added.
The order prohibited entry of any vehicle and person carrying arms, daos, swords, knives, heavy iron bars pointed or blunt, other lethal weapons, etc and any other unauthorized persons within the said areas.
It also informed that the order shall not apply to the candidates, officials and vehicles authorized by the CBSE, plying of vehicles along the route and such other persons as the District Magistrate may from time to time admit for assisting in conduct of the examination.
