Faculties, students of CAU Imphal participate in training programme at Bangkok

Imphal, May 05 2022:
Faculties and students of the Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal are attending a three months training programme being held at Bangkok.
As per a press release from CAU Imphal, two faculties namely Dr M Norjit Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Sciences, College of Agriculture (COA), Iroisemba, CAU Imphal and Dr Shravan M Haldhar, Associate Professor, Department of Entomology, COA, CAU were selected for Foreign training under National Agricultural Higher Education Project-Institutional Development Plan (NAHEP-IDP) at Chulalongkorn University, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok and Prince Sonkla University, Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand for three months (April 14-July 14, 2022) .
On the other hand, five undergraduate students of College of Fisheries, CAU, Lembucherra, Tripura are also attending a three months foreign training programme at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok.
The programme is sponsored by the IDP-NAHEP project funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi through the World Bank.
The students are Brahmacharimayum Priyabati Devi (Manipur), Khandu Doma Bhutia (Sikkim), Asavi Rume (Nagaland), Sneha Chaudhary and Suraj Saha (Tripura) and they were selected based on merit cum examinations conducted at the college, added the release.
