State reports one new case

Imphal, May 05 2022:
The state on Thursday reported one new positive case of Covid-19 out of 196 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 0.51 per cent positivity rate against 1.79 per cent reported on Wednesday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
No patients were discharged in the last 24 hours and the number of active cases rose to 8 out of which one (12.50 per cent) is in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,437 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 5 new positive cases and no fatality.
According to official reports, the lone new case (female) is a civilian from Imphal East district.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,225 (general population - 1,32,211 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,097 (general population - 1,30,090 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 8 (general population) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
A total of 129 D-type and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2215 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,58,092, including 12,07,277 who have received the second dose and 85,568 administered the precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,223 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,672 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,945 tests per million population against the national average of 5,97,163 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and cumulative positivity rate at 8.52 per cent.
