Death toll climbs by 3, TPR stands at 2.8 pc

The State's Covid-19 death toll has climbed to 1949 after three more persons died of the virus during the last 24 hours.
The three victims belonged to Imphal East, Imphal West and Kangpokpi.
All of them had co-morbidities and none of them were vaccinated, according to a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee.
Out of 1,799 people tested during the last 24 hours, 50 were found Covid-19 positive at JNIMS (4) and other testing centres (46) which implies that the daily positivity rate is 2.8 per cent.
They are residents of Imphal East (11), Imphal West (22), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (3), Chura-chandpur (5), Noney (1), Kamjong (3) and Ukhrul (4) .
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 51 Covid-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours following recovery from home isolation (8), RIMS (1), JNIMS (9) and CCCs (33) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,24,482 (general population 1,20,132 and Central security personnel 4,350) .
It includes 795 active cases (general population 781 and Central security personnel 14) and 1,21,738 recovered cases (general population 1,17,407 and Central security personnel 4,331) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 97.80 per cent.
Kamjong recorded the highest positivity rate at 6.4 per cent followed by Noney 5.3 per cent and Imphal West 4.1 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 268 D-type oxygen cylinders and 30 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 20,56,474 (1st dose 12,60,966 and 2nd dose 7,95,508) .
This figure includes 2021 doses administered on November 13.Out of the State's total population, 53.86 per cent has been administered first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 33.98 per cent has been given both the first dose and second dose.
