The state on Sunday reported three death cases and 50 new positive cases of Covid-19 from 1799 samples screened and registered a positivity rate of 2.78 per cent against 2.77 per cent recorded on Saturday.
The three death cases reported on Sunday took the cumulative number of death cases to 1949.One each of them were from Imphal East, Imphal West and Kangpokpi district.
None of them were vaccinated.
Meanwhile, IDSP state surveillance officer has informed air passengers, who travelled to the state on November 8 by Indigo 6E-6014 (Mumbai to Imphal) in rows 1-4 to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary quarantine and testing.
Out of the 16 districts, only eight reported fresh Covid cases on Sunday with Imphal West still reporting highest cases at 22.In terms of positivity rate, Kamjong district recorded highest single day positivity rate at 6.4 per cent while Thoubal district recorded lowest positivity rate at 0.7 per cent.
Chandel, Jiribam, Kakching, Kangpokpi, Pherzawl, Senapati, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal districts did not report any new positive cases.
The active caseload came down to 795, out of which 68 (8.55 per cent) are in home isolation.
There is no updated information regarding bed availability.
So far, the state has recorded 95,082 positive cases and 1575 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current rnonth saw 751 new positive cases and 28 death cases out of which 396 new cases and 15 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, all the 50 new positive cases (27 male and 23 female) are from among the general population and their infection status confirmed at JNIMS (4) and other testing centres (46).The positive cases are from Imphal East (11), Imphal West (22), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (3), Churachandpur (5), Noney (1), Kamjong (3) and Ukhrul (4).All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, 51 patients were discharged from home isolation (8), RIMS (1), JNIMS (9) and CCCs (33).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,24,482 (general population - 1,20,132 and CAPF personnel - 4,350).Number of recovered cases is 1,21,738 (general population - 1,17,407 and CAPF personnel - 4,331) and number of active cases is 795 (general population - 781 and CAPF personnel - 14).The recovery rate is 97.80 per cent.
A total of 268 D-type and 30 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Administration of 7573 vaccine doses on Saturday took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 12,60,966 including 7,95,508 fully vaccinated individuals.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (43,489), Imphal East (27,588), Thoubal (9461), Churachandpur (10,168), Kangpokpi (2783), Tamenglong (3283), Bishnupur (9179), Senapati (2239), Ukhrul (2970), Kakching (6409), Chandel (2344), Noney (1071), Tengnoupal (1070), Jiribam (1022), Kamjong (942) and Pherzawl (464).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (648), Imphal East (464), Thoubal (176), Churachandpur (162), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong (14), Bishnupur (190), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (42), Kakching (112), Chandel (40), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (o).
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,117 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,624 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,48,296 tests per million population against the national average of 4,46,004 TPM.
Case fatality rate rose to 1.57 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 1799 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 2.78 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity came down to 8.95 per cent.
