68th All India Co-operative Week observed

Manipur State Co-operative Union in association with Registrar Co-operative Societies, Manipur observed the 68th All India Co-operative Week, 2021 today under the theme of 'Prosperity Through Co-operative' at Co-operative Complex, Lamphelpat.
The event was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Sanajaoba Leishemba as the chief guest, president of Manipur State Co-operative Union L Tompishak as the president and vice-president of Manipur State Co-operative Union Jangkhongam Haokip as guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, MP Sanajaoba Leishemba asserted that a strong co-operative movement is essential for the progress of a community.
Adding that the co-operative movement has lost steam in recent times, he stated that the Government cannot provide white collar jobs for all people.
In such circumstances, there is an acute need for a strong co-operative movement to ensure an improved socio-economic condition of the State and set the people on the path of development, he said.
