JDU condemns attack on AR convoy

Imphal, November 14 2021: Janata Dal (United) condemned the attack on a convoy of 46 AR by underground groups on Saturday which killed the commanding officer his wife and son, and four Quick Response Team members.

In a statement, JDU national office secretary Mohammad Nisar said "JDU condemns this incident with no uncertain terms, especially the casualty inflicted which includes innocent woman and child.

Such acts only depict the in-humanitarian character of the underground groups and find no place in the civilised society" .

It also stated that the incident depicts the situation of law and order in Manipur which is deteriorating day by day.

JDU also extended condolences to the bereaved families of the slain soldiers and civilians and also prayed for the peaceful retreat of the departed souls.
