Wins for YWC, SSU & KASC in MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy

YWC, SSU and KASC notched up wins in their respective league matches in the 4 th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy on Sunday.
YWC handed a crushing 137-run defeat to YPHUC at Lairenjam Public Ground.
They produced a fine batting performance to post a competitive total of 216/4 with significant contributions from Thoungamba M (58 not out), Laikhuram Jagat Singh (59) and Ashishkumar Singh Wakongthem (34) .
Also contributing to their total were Khedabarth Singh Khundrakpam (15), Johnson Lai (12 not out) and Piojit Ch (10) .
In the process, YWC lost a wicket each to Kshetrimayum Rishi, Bishworaj Sharma and G Prince Sharma.
YWC then ended YPHUC's run chase in 12.3 overs for 79 as Johnson Lai shone with the ball by scalping 4 wickets while Nickel Loukrakpam, Shital-jit Wangkhem, Devachandra Ch, Ashishkumar Singh Wakongthem and Laikhuram Jagat Singh each took one wicket in their emphatic victory.
In their chase, Moirangthem Thomas (19) and Amrendra Prasad Gupta (16) were the only batters who got into double digits for YPHUC.
SSU, meanwhile, thrashed KCDO by 7 wickets in their encounter at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, KCDO were restricted to 123/9.Bikram Phamdom (28) and Ziaur Ra-haman (24) were the main run-getters in the innings.
For SSU, Saikhomba Thongam led the scalping with a haul of 3 wickets, Sougrakpam Douglas claimed 2 wickets, and Deepankar Sharma and Ningombam Sanjoy bagged one each.
In their response, SSU completed the chase in 18.2 overs for 124/3 courtesy of Deepankar Sharma (41 not out), Anand Mangang (34), Ningombam Sanjoy (20) and (13 not out).
The bowlers who took a wicket apiece for KCDO were Netajit Konsam, Devendro and Ziaur Rahaman.
KASC beat CDCC by 36 runs at Oriental College Ground.
Electing to bat, KASC scored 138/8 and then they bowled out CDCC in 19 overs for 102.In their innings, Mohd Sha-hir Khan (25), Qurshid Alam (21 not out), Muhammad Javed Aktar (20), Bm Irfan (17), WM Rajak (14) and Md Aqeel (12) scored in double figures for KASC.
In the process, they lost 3 wickets to Mutum Jodiba, 2 to Mandingbam Surjit Singh, and one each to Md Ataur Rahaman and Khursid Alam.
In reply, Priyojit Narengbam's fighting 47 went in vain as Md Farijuddin wreaked havoc on CDCC's batting order, claiming 6 wickets while Qurshid Alam snapped 2 wickets, and Md Anjum MM and Muhammad Javed Aktar took one each to help KASC seal the win.
