Kuki not named in ST list of 1956 State Gazette

It has come to light now- A notification published in the Manipur State Gazette of December 5, 1956 that lists Scheduled Tribes in Manipur has no mention of Kuki anywhere.
The notification, dated November 22, 1956 listed communities in Manipur recognised as Scheduled Tribes and Schedules Castes.
The notification was issued by then Secretary to the Government of Manipur, T Kipgen.
29 communities are listed as Scheduled Tribes.
The communities include Aimol, Anal, Angami, Chiru, Chothe, Gangte, Hmar, Kabui, Kacha Naga, Koireng, Kom, Lamgang, Any Mizo (Lushai), Maram, Maring, Mao, Monsang, Moyon, Paite, Purum, Ralte, Sema, Simte, Suhte, Tangkhul, Thadou, Vaiphei and Zou.
The word or community "Kuki" was nowhere written in the Gazette notification.
Scheduled Castes listed in the notification include Dhupi or Dhobi, Lois, Muchi or Ravidas, Nama Sudra, Patni, Sutradhar and Yaithibis.
