BSA national awardees felicitated

Imphal, December 24 2023: Members of Bahujana Sahitya Academy (BSA), Manipur Unit who were conferred national awards for their noteworthy contribution by the BSA, National Committee of India, were handed over the awards during a function held at Manipur Press Club on Sunday.

The awards distribution cum felicitation function held under the aegis of BSA, Manipur was attended by Imphal West Zilla Parishad up-adhyaksha Dr Laishram Bobby Devi and BSA state president Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit as chief guest and president respectively while retired PWD chief engineer Nongmaithem Noren, Malemgi Lup president W Amuchou Meitei, assistant professor Dr Salam Shantibala Devi, Smart Security Service secretary Laimayum Pratap Singh and All Manipur Bar Association president Puyam Tomcha were guests of honour.

Nongmaithem Nilamani Meitei received the Lifetime Achievement National Award, (Late) Laikhuram Joyson Singh was posthumously awarded the Best Citizen of India National Award, Chingakham Ina-khunbi Leima presented the Best Entrepreneur National Award and Maisnam Thoiba Singh received the Best Service Society National Award.

Furthermore, Kshetrimayum Opendro Singh, Wayenbam Singhajit Singh and Keisham Ranjit Singh received the Seva Ratna, Kala Ratna, and Karmika Ratna national awards respectively.
