SFs, Rotary Club extend aid to Kwatha village

Imphal, December 24 2023:
In a collaborative effort to strengthen security measures and support the local community, a joint team comprising special police commando, Tengnoupal district CDO, Moreh Police, and 5th IRB, under the command of 5th IRB CO Heisnam Balram, along with Moreh additional SP Oinam Sukumar, on Sunday conducted area domination patrolling in and around Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district and distributed rice donated by Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal on Sunday.
During the patrol, the officers conducted a thorough inspection of the state security post at Kwatha, emphasising the importance of diligent discharge of duty by the personnel.
The team also took the opportunity to interact with the villagers so as to foster sense of community engagement and support.
The officers also distributed rice and grocery items to the villagers.
The donation, totalling a 407 truck load, was contributed by Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal.
Expressing gratitude, the villagers conveyed happiness and appreciation for the care extended by the combined security forces and the frequent visits to the village.
Takhellambam Sanjoy, the general secretary of Kwatha village authority, specifically thanked the Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal, for their valuable assistance and acknowledged the dedication of the security team.
He also thanked 3 Assam Rifles and BSF personnel posted in the area for protecting the villagers amid the challenging situation.
