AR archery team wins 12 medals at North East Games

Imphal, March 23 2024:
The Assam Rifles archery made a mark at the 3rd North East Olympic Games 2024 held in Nagaland from March 18-23 with eight accomplished archers from the team securing noteworthy victories across various categories.
T Sen Meitei clinched the gold in the recurve event with an impressive 70x70 score, while N Subhachandra Meitei secured the silver in the same category.
Additionally, the recurve men's team, consisting of T Sen Meitei and N Subhachandra Meitei, claimed the silver medal.
T Sen Meitei also contributed to the bronze medal win for the recurve mixed team.
Th Sanai added to the team's accolades by securing the bronze in the recurve women's team event.
The compound men's team, represented by G Robart Sharma and T Welson Meitei, secured the silver medal.
In the Indian round category for men, Rajesh claimed two bronze medals and contributed to the team's gold medal win, while Zhokhoto Demo secured two silver medals in the same category.
Overall, the Assam Rifles archery team won 12 medals, comprising 2 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze.
The Assam Rifles Archery training node is based at Keithelmanbi in Imphal East district where the Assam Rifles Archery team is trained, said a press release from the IGAR(S) .
