First round of training for presiding, polling officers held

The first round of training for presiding and polling officers-I in connection with the ensuing elections to the 18th Lok Sabha, 2024 for Bishnupur district concluded on Saturday.
The training was held in morning and afternoon sessions at Panchayat Resource Centre (PRC) of Mini Secretariat Complex and three halls of Cl College, Bishnupur.
More than 500 officials took part on Saturday, the second and last day of the training while the first day on Friday had the participation of over 700 officials.
Bishnupur AC ARO Rishikanta Loitongbam, Nambol & Oinam ARO S Indrajit Singh, Moirang & Kumbi ARO M Suranjoy Singh and Thanga Jr BDO, ARO M Ricky Singh were the overall in-charge of the training.
The officials were briefed about their roles and responsibilities with respect to the conduct of election and prepare them to ensure conduct of free, fair and transparent election.
THOUBAL: To ensure seamless conduct of the Lok Sabha 2024 election in the district, first round of training for polling personnel commenced on Saturday at Thoubal College.
Altogether 647 officials appointed as Presiding Officers and Polling Officers-I for all six assembly constituencies under Thoubal district attended the training session for efficient execution of poll duties.
Nodal Office for Manpower Management and Nodal Officer for Training Management, K Prakash Singh (SDC HQ) led the training session.
During the phase wise training session, polling personnel will be capacitated on theoretical aspects, handling of EVMs, Booth Apps, IT apps, Communications and Mock Polls for better familiarisation.
