Maram Bn organises Veterans' Day

Commemorating the 189th Raising Day of the oldest central paramilitary force in the country, Maram Battalion Assam Rifles celebrated Veterans' Day by honouring ex-servicemen and Veer Naris of Senapati district on Saturday.
The commemorative event held with Jwalamukhi Sector Assam Rifles Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Brigadier Bikram Saini as chief guest featured a range of initiatives aimed at extending support and gratitude to the veterans.
A medical camp, SBI help desk, ECHS centre and Grievances Redressal Cell were also established, providing comprehensive care and assistance to the veterans.
Additionally, a captivating Rudra Veena performance added a cultural touch to the event, resonating with the spirit of unity and respect.
During his address, Brigadier Bikram Saini expressed heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions made by the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris along with highlighting the pivotal role played by Assam Rifles in fostering camaraderie and support within the community.
As a gesture of recognition, seven Veer Naris were felicitated for their unwavering courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
Following the formal proceedings, Brigadier Saini personally engaged with ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, lending a compassionate ear to their concerns and experiences.
This interaction reaffirmed the bond of trust and camaraderie between the Assam Rifles and the veteran community.
