Football swaps gun in CCpur

In an unprecedented development, unlikely to have taken place before the tripartite agreement on Suspension of Operation came into force in the hills, the district sports association, Churachandpur managed to replace guns with football as they got major armed groups here to clash, with the district police and newly elected MDCs, in the game of football.
In the tournament's inaugural matches here in Lamka Public ground, the district MDCs thrashed ZRO team 2-0 while CDSA's veteran trounced KNO 5-2. Other teams that will compete in the eight-day long tournament includes the HPC (D), the district police and the DC team.
It is worth mentioning here that, the armed group KNO, donated the prize money for the winners carrying an amount of Rs.10,000 while the HPC (D) contributed the second prize of Rs.5000.
