Assam bodies donate over Rs 7 lakh

Imphal, July 01 2023:
Assam-based organisation donated over Rs 7 lakh to relief centres and hospitals for helping the people affected by the ethnic violence in Manipur.
In a release, Regional Indigenous Forum for Peaceful Co-Existence (RIFPCO) chairman Dr T Tomba informed that the monetary aid was extended in three phases.
Manipuris living in Assam's Brahmapur valley, along with Apunba Nupi Khunai Hojai, Barak Museum and Library, Meetei Pukei Lup and Athouba Ningsing Lup extended a total sum of Rs 7,45,000 to relief camps, hospitals and people affected by the riot.
