CPI leaders eyeing to visit state

Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur state council said that several national leaders of the party are planning to visit Manipur and launch movement to bring back peace and normalcy in the state soon.
According to former secretary of CPI Manipur state council L Sotinkumar, CPI leader D Raja, Manipur in-charge Palap Singh Gupta and two MPs of the party are planning to visit Manipur very soon to contribute their mite in restoring peace and normalcy.
He said CPI national leaders will mount pressure on the government to take concrete steps to restore normalcy.
Addressing media persons at Irawat Bhawan Saturday, Sotinkumar asserted that territorial integrity of Manipur cannot be compromised at any cost while affirming that CPI will fight against those threatening territorial integrity of Manipur.
CPI Manipur state council secretary L Thoiren, who also attended the press conference said that the present crisis in Manipur is a political one and it must be solved after thorough discussion.
He also said that innocent people of both the hills and valley are suffering as BJP government did not take necessary action to control the violence.
