Lions Clubs International District -322D aids three relief camps in Thoubal

Lions Clubs International District -322D came to the aid of as many as three relief camps of Thoubal sheltering hundreds of people displaced due to ongoing communal conflict.
The team of Lions Clubs International District -322D as a part of their relief campaign extended Rs 15,000 each to the three camps being set up at Wangbal Rice Breeder Research Centre, Lamding Higher Secondary School and District Sports Complex Wangjing Kondompokpi.
Speaking on the sidelines, District governor Lions W Gopimohon said Lions Clubs have been extended all forms of aid to relief camps opened across Thoubal, Kakching, Bishnupur, Imphal East and Imphal West since may 15 .

The contributions gathered from Manipuri diasporas in other parts of the world have also been distributed to clubs and other relief camps through its district and local units.
The aid being extended in today's phase is being contributed by Lions from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur through Lions Fraternity in Manipur Region, he said.
He also called upon all facing the hurdles to keep the spirit alive until normalcy returns.
Lions Clubs share the pain and suffering, he said.
Relief camp committees also expressed gratitude to the team for the general contributions.
