Health camp conducted, aid extended

In connection with the 8th Ayurveda Day, National Ayush Mission Manipur (NAM), Directorate of Ayush and United Peoples' Front (UPF) jointly organised a free AYUSH health cum awareness camp at Moirang College relief camp on Thursday.
Organised under the theme "Ayurveda for One Health" a total of 230 inmates were screened for treatment and medicines distributed to the needy at the camp held under the supervision of Ayurveda physician Dr L Sujalata, apprentices Dr Thangjam Devchandra and Dr N Nganbisana, and staff nurses.
On the other hand, Thongju Apunba Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited extended assistance to four persons injured in the on-going conflict namely Manoj of Ngangkha Lawai, S Shei-tam of Keirak Mamang Leikai, L Prem of Khundrakpam Awang Leikai and L Memcha of Singjamei Bheigyabati leikai and to the family members of L Kishan of Yairipok Angtha who recently succumbed to injuries suffered in the Khamenlok firing incident.
The Society also provided essential materials to relief camps set up at Phubala, Khordak Nongmaikhong, Pombikhok, Tangjil Mangjil and Phayeng.
Meanwhile, Ram Lal Paul High School 1984 batch distributed blankets and socks to village volunteers at Phougakchao Ikhai Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district on Thursday as part of their on-going 7th series of distribution of relief materials to village volunteers.
