Two from state in IAS list

Imphal, November 02 2023:
The IAS cadres of candidates, who cleared the Civil Service Examination - 2023 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), have been allocated, according to a letter written by the Ministry of Personnel, PG and Pension Department of Personnel and Training to the chief secretaries of states and union territories.
According to the letter, two candidates from Manipur received IAS cadres.
They are Arbind Hanglem (OBC-General Merit) who secured 83rd rank in the merit list and Lourembam Nelson Mangangcha who secured 915th rank in the merit list.
Arbind has been selected as Manipur cadre while Nelson as West Bengal cadre.
Arbind and Nelson are among five candidates from the north-eastern states who got IAS cadres out of the total 179 successful candidates selected.
The other three candidates are from Nagaland (2 candidates) and Arunachal Pradesh.
