37 called up for MU Women's football team trial

Imphal, November 02 2023: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has called up as many as 37 players to attend trial selection for East Zone Inter University Women's Football Tournament 2023-24 to be held at Sambalpur University, Odisha from November 26 to 30 .

The players who have received call for the trial following their performances in the recently held A Borchand Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Football (Women) Tournament are as follows.

Goalkeepers : Th Mangolnganbi of Ng Mani College, Kh Jubina of TS Paul Women's College (TSPWC), N Monika of Biramangol College;

Defenders : Sh Monalisha of Ng Mani Col, H Diana of Ng Mani Col, O Lamnganbi of Ng Mani Col; Ch Bimolbala of SSGG Col, U Pushparani of SSGG Col, Golmei Abem Kabui of SSGG Col, Kh Rebina of SSGG Col, H Linda of SSGG Col; Sarita Yumnam of TSPWC, W Thoibi of TSPWC, Y Anjali of TSPWC, Kh Bidyarani of TSPWC; M Jeena of Biramangol Col, N Sana of Biramangol Col;

Midfielders : L Amita of Ng Mani Col, S Diana of Ng Mani Col; Y Henthoi of SSGG Col, U Luxmi of SSGG Col; Kh Merina of TSPWC, Ph Ashila of TSPWC, M Anju of TSPWC; Rabina Thoudam of Biramangol Col, A Roshni of Biramangol Col; Lozilla of Manipur University, Parna of Manipur University;

Informing this, the Department of Sports MU also informed all institutions who could not participate in the MU Inter Col Tournament due to lack of requisite number of players to nominate a maximum of five players of their institutions to participate in the trial.

The players should report at MU Football Ground by 11 am on November 6 with full playing kits for the trials, it said.
