COCOMI reaches out to injured duo

The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) on Thursday started providing monthly financial assistance to those who suffered injuries in attacks by Chin-Kuki narco terrorists and are rendered physically impaired.
The COCOMI team led by its medical and healthcare committee co-convenor YK Dhiren provided an amount of Rs 5000 for the month of November to Mayanglambam Shyamsunder (40) s/o late Tomchou of Kakching Makha Leikai Sabal Pareng and Shamurailatpam Seityam Sharma (37) s/o late Niladhaja of Keirak Mamang Leikai.
Shyamsunder and Seityam were injured during the September 8 Pallel incident.
Shyamsunder has been left bedridden after he received bullet injuries on his right leg.
He has an 8 years old son.
Seityam, who is a driver by profession, also suffered bullet injury on his abdomen and is presently bedridden.
He also has a son.
Speaking to reporters, YK Dhiren reminded that following its assurance to provide financial aids for treatment of the Seriously injured in the attack by armed Kuki militants till completion of their treatment, the medical and healthcare committee started providing monthly financial assistance from Thursday.
Stating that the assistance is being provided from the corpus fund of the committee donated by the public, Dhiren appealed to the public to donate to the fund to ensure uninterrupted help to the needy people.
