AR organises lecture, integration tour

Recognising the necessity of people being informed of government healthcare schemes, Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), organised a lecture programme at Zou Khunou village, Churachandpur district on February 14.The seminar, attended by villagers, was aimed at giving hope to those from low-in-come families by explaining in simple terms about the Ayushman Bharat scheme which provides health insurance coverage to economically vulnerable families across the country.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive financial protection for hospitalisation and medical expenses up to a certain limit, said a release issued by PRO IGAR (S), adding that details of the scheme were explained.
Meanwhile, in Tuilumjang village, Churachandpur district, a medical emergency arose when a nine-year-old child was injured during a football game.
The Assam Rifles Unit Hospital in S Kholen village promptly provided assistance, relieving the child's suffering.
This act of support reassured the local community of ongoing assistance from Assam Rifles in times of need, the release added.
On the other-hand, the Assam Rifles national integration tour team visited New Delhi as they began their trip on February 14, exploring the national capital.

The children caught on the pulse of Delhi's history as they wandered through the bustling streets of Connaught Place and soaked in the vibrant hubbub of Chandni Chowk.

And as they revelled in the excitement of their maiden visit to the national capital, their spirits soared higher with every new sight and sound, the PRO IGAR (S) said in another release.
