Speaking on the occasion, Dr Somorjit informed that for the first time under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), RIMS has launched eHospital token system.
It will be an advance steps for RIMS in management for public service through digital link.
Every citizen need to have Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID number that will be provided under ABDM.
Through ID number digital health record history can be easily accessible anywhere and also it will reduce crowded long queue OPD tickets.
This system has been already started at Thoubal and Bishnupur district hospitals.
So far, more than 8 lakhs people had already created ABHA IDs.
There is no age bar for creating IDs, he informed.
Further, RIMS MS N Sanjib observed that doctors and patients both suffer due to overcrowding during OPD hours since around 2500 patients attend OPD every day.
Token system has been already initiated during OPD as a reason to reduce overcrowding but still doctors and staff face hardships in management of patients.
With the creation of ABHA IDs, all problems will be minimised and benefit both RIMS and public, he added.
N Sanjib also disclosed that RIMS is working to digitalise every section of the Hospital.
