MODEL, YWC, SHADOW and RCA all cruised to wins in the 2nd MNCA Mens U-19 Tournament on Thursday.
RCA thrashed RULE by 248 runs at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
RCA opted to bat and posted a challenging 300/6.Naesh Hussain top-scored with 114, followed by Md Safwan Ahamed (54), Alfash Kaif (53), Md Imran Khan (21) and Zamir Khan (21) in their innings.
Later, they dismissed RULE in 13.1 overs for 52 as Aziz Mirza shone with ball for RCA by taking 5 wickets, while Md Danish Khan snapped 2, with Zamir Khan and Naesh Hussain chipping in with one apiece.
Earlier, Zenith Nongmaithem, Rojit Singh Angomcha and Pursaraj Nongmaithem claimed 2 wickets each for RULE.
PCC outplayed MODEL by 68 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, Thoubal.
Asked to bat, PCC were all out for 190, with Anjan Loitongbam (43), Mairembam Lucky Meitei (30), Takhelmayum Vikash (25) and Lucky Thokchom (24) contributing considerably to their total.
In reply, MODEL faltered in their chase and managed 122 before being bowled out in 28.5 overs as fighting knocks from Biyon Naorem (36) and Ronald Ningombam (33) went in vain.
Pravin Kumar and Mairembam Lucky Meitei both scalped 3 wickets while Takhelmayum Vikash collected 2 and Lucky Thokchom got one in PCC's convincing victory.
SHADOW registered a 5-wicket win over PTCC at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
SHADOW skittled out PTCC for 71 in 27.4 overs.
Reolin Oinam led the scalping for SHADOW with a 4-wicket haul while Sapam Bikash Singh and S Lanchenba grabbed 2 each, with James Sahu and Chinglemba Haobam taking one apiece.
SHADOW then needed 17 overs to knock off the runs courtesy of Reolin Oinam (19 not out), S Lanchenba (18) and Khunjamayum Dennis (17) .
They lost 5 wickets during the chase.
For PCC, Naoshekpam Ngambarel, who took 3 wickets, was the pick of the bowlers.
YWC, meanwhile, beat YUCC by 41 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
YWC chose to bat and had a terrible innings, scoring only 97 before being bowled out after 26.1 overs.
Only Sorokhaibam Thoungamba Singh (29) and Seram Robinson (25) performed in the innings.
Despite their batting debacle, YWC managed to steal the win after producing a stunning bowling display that wiped up YUCC's batting order in 25.4 overs for 54.Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba and Heisnam Manikanta Singh bowled well to turn the tide for their team.
The two YWC bowlers picked up 4 wickets each as Seram Robinson and chipped in with one each.
