Citing the present unrest situation in the state, Lamlai Development Committee has appealed to the people not to hold feasts, use loud speakers and accept bribe for voting from any political parties and their candidates or agents.
Speaking to media persons at Pureiromba Lai Haraopham community hall, Committee president Thokchom Joykumar urged the people not to hoist flags, organise public meetings and feastings relating to the election.
There is no restriction in casting votes according to their wishes.
But the appeal has been made so as to prevent occurrence of unwanted incidents amidst this troubling time, he reasoned.
Similarly, All Thanga People's Organisation (ATPO), in a release, urged the people to oppose public meeting, feasting, and bribes.
The organisation appealed to all to endorse its proposition while cautioning that found defying the humble appeal shall have to bear the consequences.
Meanwhile, All Kakching Khunou United Clubs' Organisation (AKUCO) condemned preparations being made for conducting the Lok Sabha election without resolving the conflict and restoring normalcy in the state.
While asserting that conduct of election in the strife-tom state is untimely, AKUCO appealed to the public to desist from taking part in the election.
It further resolved not to take part in the election as well.
