Workshop on NGO-run libraries on April 14, 15

The State Central Library has announced conduct of a two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the efficiency of libraries run by Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Voluntary Organisations (VOs).
Sponsored by Kolkata-based Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RR-RLF), the workshop is scheduled to take place on April 14 and IS, at the auditorium of the State Central Library.
As part of the workshop, the library authority will conduct hands-on training sessions focusing on the NGO Darpan Registration System, which facilitates recognition of libraries for availing assistance under the Matching and Non-Matching Schemes of RRRLF.
To participate in the training, representatives of NGOs and voluntary organisations run club libraries are required to bring certain mandatory documents, including the Entity/NGO-PAN Card, e-mail ID, mobile number accessible for OTPs, present photograph of the library along with signboard, registration certificate of the NGO, and PAN & Aadhaar cards of three executive members.
All representatives of NGOs/voluntary organisations run club libraries have been asked to attend the workshop punctually to derive benefit from the informative sessions and training opportunities to be provided.
