Workshop on 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah' held

Imphal, September 27 2023:
A one-day orientation workshop for Private Registered Troupes (PRTs) and Individual Artistes (IAs) on 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah' was held on Wednesday at the Auditorium of CBC RO, Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak, Imphal.
The workshop was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal.
Ngangom Uttam Singh, director Social Welfare Department, attended the workshop as chief guest, while Dr Engam Pame, director CBC RO Imphal and PIB Manipur, was present as functional president.
The chief guest spoke on the convergence of various departments of the state and central government while implementing various central schemes.
He also highlighted the need to communicate in simple words and terms that are easy for an average person to understand.
Functional president Dr Engam Pame congratulated and showed his appreciation to the departmental artistes of CBC RO Imphal for presenting the theme song 'Machi Oiba Chinjak' during the inaugural session.
Further, he spoke on the roles of the Central Bureau of Communication while disseminating important information about the central government to the public.
He then called the selected PRTs and IAs a privileged few and advised them to give their best efforts to meet the needs of the target audience.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr Ibomcha Sharma Aribam, head of office CBC RO Imphal, urged the newly inducted PRTs and IAs to use simple and effective forms of media while disseminating messages.
In the technical session, Bantee Singh Konthoujam, state nodal officer Poshan Abhiyan, gave a lecture along with demonstrations for the PRTs and I As to understand what kind of messages and information are supposed to be disseminated, said a PIB press release on Wednesday.
