Money donated, items/medicines distributed

Imphal, July 17 2023:
Peace and Relief Committee, Sagolband and one Thangjam Ghanashy am Singh, who is a retired non-teaching staffer of Manipur University, donated Rs 20,000 and Rs 31,000 respectively to Raj Medicity hospital on Monday.
The donations were made in support of the free treatment being given by Raj Medicity to people who suffer injuries in the on going conflict.
On the other hand, Apun-ba Sorokhaibam Sagei Trust extended a sum of Rs 10,000 to one Sorokhaibam Sing-changkhomba of Phumlou Mamang Leikai, who is undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity due to injuries suffering in an attack by Kuki militants at Sekmai Leikinthabi on July 3.The Trust also donated Rs 20,000 to another person namely Sorokhaibam Mani of Nungoi Awang Leikai under Lamlai AC, to assist the individual in sustaining livelihood.
Meanwhile, Manipuri Chanura Leishem Marup (Macha Leima) along with League of Callow Patriot (LCP) distributed medicines to the inmates of Ko-dompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing Bazar relief camp on Sunday.
The medicines were donated by Community Development Medicinal Unit, 86C Dr Suresh Sarkar Road in Kolkata.
On Sunday, LCP, Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Macha Leima and Nupi Khu nnai Chaokhat Kanglup distributed essential items for the displaced people taking shelter in different relief camps.
The bodies provided rice, dal, edible oil, potatoes and onions to inmates of relief camps opened at Phousakhai Ithai, Ikhai Khunou High School, Kumbi Central High School and Wangoo Laipham Chithok Leikai.
LCP along with Macha Leima also organised free health camp at the said relief camps.
Volunteers of Wangkhei Tokpam Leikai, Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai and Nandeibam Leikai along with representatives of Juvenile Learners' Club, Wangkhei Tokpam Leikai also provid ed essential items including edibles to villagers of Lairen Sajik.
In Kakching district, one Akoijam (o) Shanti Devi of Thoubal Nongangkhong Lai Haoraopham Leirak provided edibles and clothes to the relief camp set up at Kalyan Ashram, Kakching Lamkhai.
During the distribution, she also appealed for peace and normalcy in state.
