Attack short, dialogue longterm solutions: ITLF

Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF) conducted a public consultative meet to discuss the ongoing violence at Churachandpur on Monday and reaffirmed its 'separate administration' demand.
Apart from Singhat MLA Chinlun-thang, Henglep MLA Letzamang Haokip and Tipaimukh MLA Ngursanglur, the public meet was also attended by leaders of Kuki-Zo civil society oganisations, student and philanthropic organisations.
Placing a report about forum's recent meeting with central intelligence agencies and Army officials, ITLF general secretary Muan Tombing told the gathering that central agencies called for short and long-term solution for the ongoing conflict.
The forum placed before the central agencies that Kukis will respond to any attack and it will be short term solution while political dialogue will be long term solution, he added.
During the meet, Kuki MLAs Chin-lunthang, Letzamang Haokip and Ngursunglur told the gathering that they will never hesitate to resign, if necessary, in pursuance to separate administration from the Meeteis.
