Kakching, February 10 2024:
The 100-bedded COVID hospital, which was constructed in Kakching during the height of COVID-19 pandemic, has been renamed as Kakching Multi-Speciality Hospital and the handing-over and taking-over of the hospital was conducted on Saturday at Community Health Centre (CHC), Kakching.
The handing-over and taking-over programme was attended by Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar as chief guest and CMO Kakching Th Rajen as president while social workers P Somarendra, Shymajai, M Samu and Y Nilachandra were present as guests of honour.
According to MLA MLA Rameshwar, the 100-bed-ded hospital building constructed in Kakching only for COVID-19 treatment remained useless for a long time and so the same has been renamed as Multi-Speciality Hospital in the interest of the people for ensuring better medical care.
