Kangpokpi, August 09 2026:
The National People's Youth Front (NPYF), Kangpokpi district, has thrown its weight behind Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh's visit to the district, welcoming the Government's development initia- tives and urging sustained attention to the needs of the people.
The NPYF said Khem-chand's engagement with the people at the grassroots was particularly important at this challenging juncture for Manipur.
The youth body welcomed the development projects inaugurated during the visit, with particular emphasis on measures aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and services in Kangpokpi.
The NPYF said the Chief Minister's visit has also created an opportunity for direct interaction between the Government and the people, allowing authorities to understand developmental priorities and practical concerns at the grassroots.
At a time when Manipur remains politically and socially fractured, the youth organisation stressed that Government initiatives must remain responsive to the needs of different communities and regions.
It also made a pointed case for empowering the younger generation, saying education, skills, employment and constructive participation in society were essential to building a "peaceful, stable and progressive Manipur" .
The organisation further said it remained committed to working constructively with the government, civil society, youth and other stakeholders in the larger public interest.
